Adele : Skyfall
Bond is back.
And it was worth the wait.
Sexy, masculine and suave; the definition of Bond, at least in my book. I loved Pierce Brosnan, he fitted the role well. And Pierce Brosnan is easily the sexiest Bond ever. His eyes alone can make just about any female feel weak in the knees! Hehe.
But, Daniel Craig...
He must have done something right as suave undercover agent, James Bond. Maybe his physical attributes that make him look so very hot? He's the strong, tall, silent type of man. And a man of few words. I like the kind of man he is. Oh god, I'm definitely having withdrawal symptoms. Hmmm.
Well, I'm not a movie expert, but I loved Skyfall. It's brilliant. The plot wasn't too complex and it wasn't too simple as well. And of course the obvious reason; Daniel Craig. Hehe. What struck me most about the film was how gorgeous it was. Each location brought about it's own unique beauty. Shooting has taken place in locations around the world. Turkey, Shanghai, Macau, Central London and the final battle happening in Scotland. Dangerous motorbike scene at Grand Bazaar, Istanbul Mr. Bond falls from the Varda Viaduct, a railway bridge located in Adana, Turkey
A connected stunt sequence was filmed on the roof of a train crossing the Varda Viaduct outside Adana, in Eastern Turkey. Its beautifully shot.
Turkey is already in my travel wishlist for 2013. We are planning to go mid September, 2 weeks trip to Turkey & Greece inshaAllah. I want to ride that train so bad. But, the train ride from Istanbul to Adana actually takes about 20 hours! Hahaha. Bond must be quite tired at this stage. Tak logic pun ada jugak. Hehehe. Sebab it starts with motorbike chase through the Old Town of Istanbul and on the roof of Grand Bazaar. It then continues on top of a moving train. It's illogical. But this is Bond. So I'll let them go. Hehe.
Electric view of Shanghai
God, Shanghai was gorgeous. Bright neon colours through the dark night sky. It was all stunning and incredible to look at. There's a fight in an empty building that really needs to be seen to be believed! Nak pergi nak pergi. Bring me to Shanghai, please.
Floating lanterns in Macau
Some of the most beautiful places in the world visited by James Bond. Should I go to Macau? Macau had a yellow tint to the place. And everyone looked to be golden skinned. Cantik kan. Hmmm, the floating lantern really seduced my eyes!
His latest mission takes him somewhere unexpected, home
London was grey, a boring but familiar colour. And I just got back from spending some time in London and I feel like I missed London so much.
One of Skyfall's major action sequences takes place on the London Underground and then overground afterwards ending up in Westminster. Picture above, we can see one tube train blasted through a tunnel's ceiling. Mind the gap! Haha.
Many central London locations being used in Skyfall. So I was kind of excited about all this and whispered to my friend,
Babe, I rindu London. I pergi sini haritu. I naik tube ni. I nak pergi lagi.Sobs. Rindu betul ni. Hahahaha. How how how. The climatic conclusion in the Scottish highlands A very dramatic scene when Skyfall Lodge is blown up. The scene is supposed to be set in Glencoe, but took place in the Surrey countryside. Click here for more details. They used the mountains in Glencoe Scotland as a backdrop so I really thought there is a real Skyfall lodge near Glencoe. Haha tipah tertipu rupanya. We took a Highland Tour when we were in Scotland, so Glencoe is included and it took us on a wonderful journey through the beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. Scotland is really the most beautiful country I have ever seen to date. And there are so many things to see in the UK. So, I'll come back for sure. Mr Bond with his famous Aston Martin DB5 in Scotland So that's it. I suspect a lot of people (me included) are going to see those locations because they are brilliantly shot. Well seeing is believing. Turkey, Shanghai and Macau next! When? Only time will tell. |
