The oh-so-trendy-right-now; peplum modern kurung.

And, I'm a sucker for peplum and flowy chiffon skirts recently, so I wore something peplum-ish to my aunt's wedding reception on Sunday. Design modern kurung ni inspired by Mimpikita. Tengok Marsha pakai terus macam berkenan. Hehe.

But, that's not the point anyway.

Jom sambung cerita terjah shooting location drama Korea. Hehe.

Boys Over Flowers.

Can you still remember the time when you can't stop giggling over Gu Jun Pyo? Hehe. Siapa dia Gu Jun Pyo ni?

Alaaaaa. Yang tu. Si rambut maggi. Tak kenal ke? That adorable leader of F4 in "Boys Over Flowers"? Haha. Korean can't pronounce "F4" jadinya depa sebut "Eppepor". Hahah. Kiut.

How can you hate Gu Jun Pyo?

Hahaha statement berani mati daripada tuan punya badan. Uols mampu?

Tapi this girl tak suka pun Gu Jun Pyo ni atas sebab-sebab seperti di atas. Reason yang still ingat sampai sekarang ni adalah; your stupid curly hair! Kekekeke. But since ni cerita kan, tak suka tak suka pun, lama-lama tersuka jugak. Hehe. Drama katanya!

Mula-mula tengok Gu Jun Pyo ni pun terus rasa macam this guy needs a new haircut! Hahah. Motip rambut macam tu? Berpintal-pintal, pening kepala menengoknya. Dah la sekarang ni pun tengah pening, daging korban overdose! Sob sob. I need a doctor.

Hmm, Boy Over Flowers really showcases all of South Korea beautifully. Jun Pyo and Jan Di (the female lead) go just about everywhere you can imagine during the series. I was shocked by the beauty of every place they encountered and looked into the locations they visited.

So here we go, the sites of Boys Over Flowers! Let's jom.

12 FEBRUARY 2012

Macam biasa, we started our journey quite early in the morning. Sesudah subuh. Hehe. Breakfast siap-siap dulu kat guesthouse. Simple breakfast, garlic bread and coffee. Yummy.

How to get there;

From Myeongdong station (Line #4) to Ichon. Ichon tau bukan Incheon (airport). Dekat je lebih kurang 6 stations after Myeongdong.
Then terus transfer to Jungang line.
Take a train to Yongmun (last station). Kat sini dah macam Komuter kita tapi versi upgrade sikit. Laju. Haha.
Travelling time from Myeongdong to Yongmun; +/- 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Dah sampai Yongmun station tu tadi, take exit #1.
Take a cab to Yangpyeong English Village which was about 5 to 10 minutes away; cost 3,000KRW for 1 cab.

Helwa yang kiut-miut kat dalam train.

Boots (10,000KRW = RM30), Muffler scarf (5,000KRW = RM15), winter jacket/ coat (10,000KRW = RM30). Hahaha. Dapatkan di pasaran ok. Murah-murah ni. Cantik pulak tu. Semua ni ada kat Namdaemun Market ye. Helwa punya size baju memang senang je nak cari kat Namdaemun market tu. Size orang Korea yang kecik molek. Sobs. I was having a hard time finding my own size. Slim sangat orang Korea ni, tengok peha dah tau. Haha.

Perjalanan adalah jauh ye from Myeongdong nak sampai ke Yongmun ni. Sejam setengah! Sempat la tertidur barang seround dua sebelum sampai. Awal-awal je lah excited nak tengok view yang memutih sebab salji macam baru turun malam sebelumnya. Tapi lepastu? Membuta dalam train. Haha.

Ada gambar my friend snap I sedap je lentok kat sorang Korean ni. Dua-dua lentok! Haha. Tak sedar apa. Penat menapak sebenarnya pi Korea ni. Jalan kaki, naik tangga, turun tangga. Memang penat. So pantang duduk, mesti tertidur. Hehe. Memang boleh kurus sikit kalau balik Malaysia ni. Yeay!

View dalam cab. Tambang taxi lebih kurang 3,000KRW. Share 4 orang. So tak mahal sangat la kan. The taxi driver dropped us in front of the Security Office and we were greeted by middle-aged Korean man who can't speak English even in English Village. Sobs.

Katanya kalau tak cakap English kat sini, kena denda. Haha. Kiranya orang pertama yang kena denda sepatutnya adalah pak guard tu. Tak ke? Hehe, tiba-tiba teringat masa sekolah dulu kat Convent Klang, ada 2 hari memang English-speaking day, Monday and Wednesday. Kalau pengawas dengar tak cakap orang putih kena denda! Hahaha.

Auww dah sampai. Tu tengok ada orang baju hitam tu tengah tunggu taxi kat depan pintu masuk Security office. Nak dapat taxi memang susah and depends solely dekat orang yang nak datang sini je. So tak payah buang masa tunggu taxi kat sini kalau tak call dulu. Then, apa nak buat? Hehe. Sila minta tolong dengan pak guard tadi tu call kan taxi.

Dua benda penting yang harus diingat dan dimintak kat pak guard Security office ni adalah;

Kunci! Kunci kelas budak-budak F4 tu. Kekeke. Datang sini jauh-jauh takkan taknak masuk kelas F4 tu khen.

Tapi haritu the guard straight away gave us the key together with the maps without us asking. Nampak sangat agaknya memang datang sini nak pergi tengok class tu je. Hehe.

So ingat, kalau pak guard tak kasi kunci, apa nak kena buat? MINTAK! Hehe. Kalau tak nganga depan pintu class tu sebab memang berkunci uols. Tak ke dua tiga kali kerja kena menapak patah balik mintak kunci?

Kalau tengok peta and directory above, memang tak besar sangat pun Yangpyeong English Village ni. Tapi, still tak habis round. Haha. Sebab the highlight for today was visiting the filming location je. Hehe. Dah habis tengok benda yang nak tengok, then balik la kan. Hehe.

Washington Airport Terminal? Yes, an airport. Who knew you could use an airport to learn English. Sila masuk dalam airport Washington ni ye. We all lupa nak masuk. Dalam ni ada tempat macam immigration gitulah lebih kurang and you can use the so-called immigration stamps at the airport to stamp your passport! Alaa, ruginya! Tu la. Nak cepat sangat pergi classroom F4 tu. Sigh.

The settings for all the school hallways and most of the exterior scenes of Jan Di walking were shot in Yangpyeong English Village. Jan Di berjalan-jalan memikirkan masa depan dia degan Gu Jun Pyo kat sini. Haha.

Buildings kat sini were constructed based on Vriginian architecture in the States. Cantik. But I've never been to the States so betul ke eh macam gini? Hehe. Students datang sini mostly untuk increase English speaking proficiency lah kot. Pernah tengok Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? Yang si little Anjali pergi Summer camp tinggalkan daddy dia si Rahul Khanna tu. Hahah. Lebih kurang camtu lah camp kat sini. Hehe.

Swimming pool

Astronimical observatory

Nak boleh sampai dekat F4 classroom tu memang bercinta sikit. Banyak sangat benda yang kena jumpa dulu. Hehe. So continue walking until you reach a shelter area. Hmm, very familiar kan. There were also individual banner of Boys over Flowers drama main cast displayed at this shelter place.

The scene of Gu Jun Pyo and F4 members who were wearing school uniform and walking down while unwrapping and eating lollipop! Hahah. Motif kan makan lolipop!

And we were walking the same path! Hehe.

Hehe jadi tak Helwa tiru? Keke.

Then continue walking until you see the Statue Of Liberty replica. Lady Liberty, as she is nicknamed. Hmm, tau tak, there are not one, but two Statues of Liberty in Paris. Tapi tak sempat nak pergi tengok. It was a gift from the people of France to the United States.

When I was 15 years old, ada tengok Japanese drama "With Love". Both main leads sorang in Japan and sorang lagi in Paris, they have enjoyed a cup of coffee while looking at the Statues and texting each other;

Hehehe. And I promised myself to do just that bila I visit any of these countries later. So I forgot to do that in Paris, jadinya kena kena kena buat benda ni kat Tokyo. Bukan janji, tapi pasti. Haha.

The clock tower. Yes, it was noon. But so freaking cold.

The home of the F4 and where our characters meet for the first time. Driver Gu Jun Pyo ni park kereta betul-betul depan pintu masuk kelas dia ni. Haha. Harus diingat yang the F4 have to look good. They are rich. Super rich! Anak orang ada-ada gitu. Hahah. Sekolah ni memang hak milik penuh family Gu Jun Pyo. Sebab tu bilik darjah F4 ni memang khas untuk budak-budak ni 4 orang sajork! Hahaha. Mampoo ke uols. Kiranya siapa dapat belajar kat sekolah ni kira hebat sangat la tu. Crazy!

Peace yaw! Hahah.

We went there during winter. So dress for the weather. That's an important element of dealing with cold winter weather. I bought Ugg boots (tipu punya Ugg, fake Ugg boots) dekat Myeongdong subway station hehe for 10,000KRW (RM30). Oh and winter jacket tu pun 10,000KRW (RM30) kat Namdaemun market. Hehe. Knited tops, a must have undergarment. Don't forget to put on your best long johns. It will help to keep you warm. Hehe. Tak tipu ni. Tak rasa sejuk sangat kalau dress properly. Pakai banyak-banyak baju and pants. Sampai nak berjalan pun rasa berat! Hahaha.

So building ni lah yang patut terus dituju kalau dah sampai English Village ni. Monticello Global Leadership Center. Dalam ni ada classroom F4 tu tadi. Cari class 206. Tapi sebelum tu, remember this foyer?

Ok meh kita flashback balik cerita ni. Hehe. Ni first time si F4 ni nak masuk class dia. Haha. F4 yang macam bagus-bagus je kan. Semua 4 orang tu anak orang ada-ada ok. Yang rambut pintal tu sekolah ni bapak dia punya. Bukan sekolah je, semua benda yang ada kat Korea tu 80% family Gu Jun Pyo yang punya! Ada masuk berita he is the World's richest Youngsters! Hahaha. Yg baju putih tu cucu president ke apa entah. Yang lagi 2 orang tu lupa dah. Kaya sangat sampai lupa. Hahaha.

Tengok baju sekolah orang lain semua sama sajork. Yang 4 orang ni? Ikut suka hati kau nak pakai apa. Ya ampon, memang crazeyhh. Tak tahan tengok baju putih tu. Memang totally out, lain dari yang lain. Haha. But then, drama kan. Layankan je.

Hehe, our trip to English Village was so damn fun. Sebab macam duk teringat benda-benda yang mengarut sangat yang jadi kat dalam cerita ni sambil tergelak-gelak. Hahahaha. Ok cepat-cepat naik atas pulak. Classroom kat atas.

Hmm, that's not the one.

Ok ok sini sini. Classroom 206. Haha. Kunci ada dengan I. But tak boleh bukak. Menggigil! Hahahaha. Ni takde F4 pun dalam tu nak tunggu sampai nak menggigil bagai. Keke. Nak buat macam mana. Memang jenis cuak tak tentu pasal. So I passed the key to my friend. Hehe.

Masuk-masuk je, we saw lockers on our left. And as the lockers were not locked, we opened one to take a look inside. Keke.

Hehe. Lockers ni tujuan dia dalam cerita ni untuk F4 letak buku merah ni. Kiranya kalau siapa dapat buku merah ni, AWAS! Kena buli la kau sampai rasa nak tukar sekolah. Hahaha.

So nampak kan belakang Jan Di tu, ni lah view 2nd floor kat dalam Monticello Global Leadership Center ni. Class 206 tu just next to her. On her left.

There was no one, but us! Hahahaha. Memang best. Tak payah nak bersesak-sesak posing dengan ramai orang. Kekeke.

Ok cukup-cukup sudah. Penat dah amik gamba kat sini. So duduk-duduk la kejap kat luar buat apa yang patut. Perut lapar ni. Jom lunch. Makan apa?

Maggi! Hahahahaha. Cheapskate. Siap bawak tupperware tu. Sebab tu lah gunanya beg besar-besar uols. Sumbat segala benda. Jangan risau, ada air panas kat sini. Water dispenser for students la kot. Hehe. Kan dah kata tadi memang takde orang datang English Village time ni. Sejuk kot. Tu pasal boleh buat macam rumah sendiri.

Dekat 2nd floor ni jugak ada washroom. Boleh la nak ambil wudhu'. Grrr sejuks. Then, solat je lah mana-mana tepi-tepi ni. Bersih inshaAllah. :). Senang pergi mana-mana bawa mini telekung tu yang beli kat Indon tu kan. Nipis and ringan.

So we had done with our lunch, solat, pergi buang-buang apa yang patut then moh la kita keluar dari sini. Lama ok kat dalam ni. Hahaha. Selagi tak keluar selagi tu duk asyik masuk je dalam classroom tu. Haih.

Did I mention that I love wooden bench with a snow in the background?

We left English Village at 2pm and we slept all the way back! Hahaha. Overall, if you want to check out the film site for Boys Over Flowers, then the Yangpyeong camp is for you though there's pretty nothing much to do after checking out the school building where the drama was filmed in.

But then I think the 3 hours traveling time back and forth is worth it!

I have a date with Daniel Craig kejap lagi! Can't wait to see Skyfall! Hehe. Goodnight.
