That green scarf... Have you watched “Confessions of a Shopaholic”? I’m not much of a green girl myself but this rich green scarf swayed me especially seeing how it matched seamlessly with Rebecca’s orange plaid coat and electric blue outfit underneath. The first thing I said upon stepping out of the cinema after watching Confessions of a Shopaholic long long time ago was; I want that green scarf! But wearing that kind of scarf in Malaysia, people would think I’m crazy! Hahaha. Gila perempuan ni kan panas-panas macam ni nak pakai scarf bagai. Hehe. So haritu in Myeongdong subway station, there are several shops that sell very nice colourful scarves. And that’s the closest one I found that looks similar in terms of colour. So I can’t really control the urge to buy that scarf. Hahaha. 15,000KRW (RM15) je. Tak mahal pun. Hehe. Ok, enough of the introduction! So, practically the first thing I did after we booked our plane tickets was to look up all the shooting locations in Seoul that are accessible to public. Hahaha. Am I insane enough? Keke. Ni special to die-hard fans Korean drama only ok? Hehe. And I found this one traditional Korea house located in Bukchon Hanok Village that was used as a filming location for a Korean drama, "Personal Taste". Lee Min ho was spotted at "Personal Taste" filming location 10 FEBRUARY 2012
There's a Tourist Information Center office where you can get a map of Bukchon. But, by looking at the picture above, where EXACTLY is the office? Mana mana? To the left to the left or to the right to the right?? Kekeke Beyonce sangat! Totally lost, and need help! Haha. But not to worry, there are guides all around the Bukchon area so you will NEVER be lost. Hehe. They wear red shirt and will approach you automatically. If they don't, then why not you approach them first instead? Hehe. Tengok nih! Hahaha tengok Cik Kiah Cik Kiah semua tengah in action nak pergi aproach dua orang guide ni. Motif tak ambik guide yg kat belakang baju merah dua orang tu? I think maybe, human nature. Hahahaha. Yang kat belakang tu dua-dua gegirls ok. Yang depan ni ada oppa? Oppa ke? Hahahah. Entah-entah dia lagi muda kekeke. Ahh, life sooo good when we were young. Hehe. Oppa anyong! Onni anyong! Bukchon tourist centor?Hahhahahahaha. Centor katanya. Konon-konon nak tiru Korean's english speaking style! Ya ampon. Macam biasa, itu je lah yang tahu pun. Hehe. Dia pun anyong balik sambil tersengih-sengih. Kekeke. Can we take your picture please? A peace sign is a MUST in korean pictures, no? Bukchon Tourist Information Center
Dah sampai tourist information center ni, please step inside and look around. Best kan semua tempat takde orang. Boleh buat macam rumah sendiri. Hehe. So dah habis tanya apa yang patut dekat dalam tourist center ni, then pick up a map of Bukchon and get ready to go! Bukchon Hanok Village is quite big if you are on foot and is located in a strategic location between Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. So kalau dah alang-alang pergi any of the places mentioned above, do set aside some time to visit Bukchon. Dekat sangat dah tu. Boleh jalan kaki, kalau yakin tak sesat! Hahaha. Kalau tak, guna subway. So you can follow the 8 views of Bukchon Hanok Village in the map, if you are interested in taking great pictures of all view; View of the Changdeokgung Palace Arts & Crafts Center Street Gahoe-dong Museum Lane Gahoe-dong alley (uphill) Hanok downhill alley Hanok uphill alley Hanok alley #31 Stone stairs alley Click here if you want to see all 8 views of Bukchon. Tapi haritu, we didn't really try to find these 8 signs. Rasanya jumpa satu ni je kot! Hahaha. Motif nak jadi amazing race cari semua photo spots tu kan. Haihh. Tak kuasa. Do I look like I give a damn?? Wahh gitu. Hahaha. Harap maklum itu adalah ayat Daniel Craig dalam Casino Royale. Kekeke. We're actually on a mission to find this house named "Sanggojae". Rumah dia #43. So melilau lah mata sorang-sorang cari rumah #43. Hehehe. Tapi memang tak jumpa la uols. How? Takpelah, kita jalan dulu pusing-pusing, sesat-sesat kat sini. Tumpang kejap nak ambik gambar. Hehe. Rumah siapa la ni agaknya. So, most of the time the alleys are crowded with tourists. Kesian kan siapa-siapa duduk sini. Takde privacy. The alleys width are only the size of a car. Kalau tengok rumah-rumah kat sini, semua pun macam parking kereta kat luar. Tak macam kita kat Malaysia ni ha, siap langgar gate nak masuk parking! Hahaha. Sobs. Hehehehehe. Suka sangat gambar ni! Hahahaha. Tengok si baju merah itu. Suka over tau. Hehe kesian penat layan Fida jalan-jalan cari pasal. Hahahaha. Tak jumpa-jumpa lagi rumah Sanggojae tu. Kekeke. Nak buat macam mana, iols pun tak tahu kat mana kan. Takpe. Duduk dulu. So kena parking kejap outside of people's house after so much walking. Hehe. Penat. Naik bukit, turun bukit. Bertabah sangat ke weols ni? Oh my! Try not to intrude into areas you are not suppose to go into ok? Hehe. Then lepas dah penat berjalan through the alleyways, up and down the walking paths, tiba-tiba terjumpa rumah #43. Oh my god oh my god oh my god! Yeayyy. Finally! Bersorak riang lah apa lagi. Maunya tak kan. Cepat-cepat ambik gambar kenang-kenangan hari tua nanti. Ni namanya misi gigih kejar jejak langkah Lee Min Ho! Hahahaha. Roha (right) & Maya (left) And that's me! Bulky shape (sobs) and short legs carrying a big hand bag! So jelly korean girls height and their sense in fashion! Gegirls kat sana boleh dengan rasa tak bersalah naik bukit turun bukit pakai stiletto! Iols boleh cuba buat kalau nak nampak tinggi punya pasal kan, but then kejap je la. Sat lagi sure kena bukak kasut and berkaki ayam! Hahahha. Ni pernah terjadi, di tengah bandar Seoul, back in 2010! Ekekeke. But then suddenly I noticed, that's not really the house that we were looking for, at all. Tak sama kan. Cuba tengok balik picture #3 kat atas sana. Memang lain. Totally different! Ekekeke. Tapi sakan dah bergambar ni. Hahahaha. Hmmm, maybe ini pintu belakang dia ye tak? Hahaha. Maya and Roha pun rasa ini pintu belakang rumah tu. Tapi kalau pintu belakang, kenapa ada number rumah please! Oh my god! So how now? Hahahahahahahhaha. We all memang bantai gelak tak ingat dunia punya ok. Sakan sangat amik gambar macam-macam rupa, gaya semua lah ada, sekali salah rumah ke!! Hahhahaa. Macam bodoh kan perangai sorang-sorang. Sobs. Hampa! Hampa sehampa-hampanya! "Onni, Lee Min Ho! Personal Taste onni!" " Mu-ra-gu yo" (Gapo dio?) "Onniiiii!! Lee Min Ho a-se-yo? (Kak, kenal Lee Min Ho tak?) "Ooo Min-o shi? Arasso arasso. Ga ja! (Ooo Encik Min Ho? Paham paham. Jom!) Begituhhhh. Hahahahahaha. I tell you! Kan I pandai cakap hangul! Tak sia-sia tengok drama Korea. Hahaha. Alaaaa, janji onni tu faham kan. Kekeke. Yang belah kiri tu tau. Yang kanan memang blur habis. Hahaha. So apa lagi, dia pun bawak lah ke pangkal jalan. Incline again! Duh. Zaman sekolah dulu, orang panggil kalau bukit macam gini, bukit tonggek. Hahaha. Finally, jumpa pun! Ni lah dia rumah Personal Taste a.k.a Sanggojae. Ni betul-betul punya. Bukan tipu-tipu macam tadi. So kesimpulannya, tak semua rumah #43 itu adalah Sanggojae ok? Hehe. But, only the gate of Sanggojae and the surrounding roads were filmed in Bukchon Hanok Village. The interior of Sanggojae was filmed in another location. Sanggojae ni kalau cakap dekat guides yang lalu-lalang tadi memang tak semua tahu sebab bukan real name rumah ni pun. Kaedahnya itu nama dalam drama Personal Taste je. Hehe. Maya yang happy. She is die hard fan of Lee Min Ho! Nampak kertas tu? Itu semua bahan rujukuan ilmiah shooting locations with directions yang ada. Hahaha. Credit to : Forum Cari Ok, directions ni memang ada dalam kertas yang I pegang tu, tapi still, SESAT! Hahaha. So tak berani nak jamin. Guidelines je boleh lah kot. Nak senang, print satu gambar Lee Min Ho dengan rumah Sanggojae ni and tunjuk dekat guides tu. Confirm depa tau. Hehe. Lupa pulak hari tu nak print. Dah jom balik. Mission accomplished!
Patah balik jalan tadi. Then lepastu memang entah kemana-mana. Haha. Tak jumpa dah jalan mula-mula datang tadi. Tak kesah la. Janji boleh keluar from sini. So masa balik tu kan we noticed that we can actually go inside some of the houses for a fee.
And some of the houses have been converted to guest houses and it is nice to take a free peek at the interior courtyard with rooms that open up to it. Tapi rasanya one night stay in hanok village ni quite pricey. Dalam lebih kurang 35,000KRW per pax. Kalau nak merasa boleh. Actually haritu our last night should be in one the guest houses here. Tapi, malas punya pasal dengan beg yang beranak pinak and nak naik bukit turun bukit semua ni, lupakan je lah niat yang suci murni tu. There's always next time. Haha. My motto :)
Cantik kan! Memang feeling puteri raja Korea zaman dulu-dulu lah kalau boleh duduk sini semalam. Pay a visit there when you are in Seoul. Really worth it! Good night. Labels: Korea, Korea 2012, Travel |
